&lt;p&gt;RESPONSE:&amp;#160; If you make your first entry before the birth of the baby and have your baby in the United States, your baby would be born in the United States and, therefore, eligible for citizenship under jus soli (born of the earth) principles.&amp;#160; However, if you are visibly pregnant you may be refused at the border or port of entry (or the Consulate may refuse to issue the immigrant visa) unless you can show that you will not become &quot;wards of the State.&quot;&amp;#160; In other words, you'll need to show that you can financially support your baby.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
